The Home Builder's Association (HBA) of Utah held its 2009 Excellence Awards Gala honoring Utah homebuilders. Garbett Homes walked away with Best Overall Ad Campaign. Garbett Homes was recognized for its creative execution of branding and advertising campaigns that have captured the attention of the Salt Lake City market. The Garbett Brand reflects the fresh approach the company takes to architectural design and homebuilding.
The Utah HBA is a recognized and respected organization within the housing industry. Housing is one of this country's most regulated industries. As such, the Utah HBA offers the benefit of knowledge, expertise, and technical resources to the public in general and the government that serves them. The more than 2600 member companies of the Utah HBA represent Utah's housing industry and play a vital role in the national and state economies by contributing one in every seven dollars of domestic output. Home ownership continues to increase to record levels.
The Utah HBA is dedicated to the protection and the preservation of the free enterprise system and the right of the individual to own real property as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United State of America and the State of Utah. The association supports a fee enterprise system, and opposes undue intervention by the government in the affairs of American business. They oppose counterproductive taxation, governmental guidelines, regulations, rules and procedures which unnecessarily increase consumer costs and unnecessarily burden the business community.
The association supports policies that promote the healthy growth of the American economy. Investment in structures, in equipment, and in the skills of people is necessary to increase the standard of living, jobs and household income. To accomplish these goals, the Utah HBA urges changes in tax policy that will encourage savings, investment and homeownership.
The association believes that active involvement in political activity is a privilege and the responsibility of every citizen. They urge qualified individuals to make themselves available for public service. They encourage continuing participation in local, state and national political affairs and urge support of those candidates who pledge and by their actions preserve and indeed strengthen America's free enterprise system which is based upon the underlying principle of private property ownership.
Garbett Homes is proud to be a member of the Utah and Salt Lake Home Builder's Associations.
